{super} small biz coffee chat one: time management!!

hello, and welcome to our very first episode of {super} small business chats with me, halthegal!

a lot of you have asked for some behind-the-scenes of things i've learned recently, particularly as a small {art!} business owner. and while the internet is seemingly infinite and has too much information for me to take it all in-- here's a bit of what i've learned and found helpful.

this coffee chat: time management!!

i'm still on the strugglebus with this one. but i AM getting remarkably better! where do you start when all the things feel immediate (errands, chores, marketing, emails, etc.)-- but you find yourself at the end of the week, and you may have managed to feed your family, but you're grumpypants because you "didn't have time" to actually make art even though you call yourself an artist? let's explore.... {and yes, i love a great watch. the obsession started early.} ;D

here’s the youtube video, and the links are below!

here are four recommendations for you, depending on where you are in your time management journey:

1. the five-minute journal

perfect for beginning to start daily gratitude and a positive mindset. available here: https://www.intelligentchange.com/

2. a blank journal!

sure, there's no calendar pages or hour x hour goal-setting strategies. but naming your fears is the first step in robbing them of their powers. so recommended even alongside a new time-chunking strategy for you. particularly during this unprecedented, topsy-turvy year of the 2020.

you can buy one with my art on it here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/halthegal/?section_id=28702738

3. rachel hollis' start today daily priority planner

weekly recaps, reflections, and a daily hour-by-hour breakdown to help you plan your day according to those priorities! plus, room for daily gratitude and affirmations.

available from target here

4. the full focus planner by michael hyatt and company

i just got this one in the mail yesterday. comes with lots of online training, a personal call to get yours set up, and more. from a leadership, coaching, and goal-setting expert with tons of study behind it, it's perfect for setting big goals, developing new healthy habits, and more. i'm still exploring this one, but it does also have the hour x hour daily feature which i NEED to keep me on track! (oy with the phone notifications amiright?!)

available here: https://fullfocusplanner.com/

i hope you found this helpful! i'm by no means an expert, and none of these companies are aware i'm sharing their products- i just have found them helpful in my journey and thought you might, too!

look forward to sharing new chats with you over the weeks ahead.

feel free to leave topic suggestions or any questions below!

best to you, *hallie of halthegal.
