august's reading wrap*up!

here they are

every monday (now in our third year?!), i share what i read the week prior.

gathered here are august 2024’s episodes.

title links take you to the book’s page on bookshop.org where you can learn more about the tale, and if you purchase the book, you’ll be supporting the local independent bookstore of your choice— all while conveniently shopping for books online. (we can’t all make it to the bookstore EVerYdaY. or so i’ve been told.)

;)

happy colourful reads to you!

and as ever, in the comments, let me know what stories you’re reading, loving, watching, listening to, enjoying…! or if you’ve read any of the books shared!

until soon,

xo,

*hallie :)

  • in books NOT to read, i mentioned the hedgehog (earthlings by murata) book. to be clear, i am NOT pro book-banning. but i am PRO knowing what you (or your kids ) are reading / getting into. trigger warnings would have been VERY helpful in this instance as it affected me deeply. and child abuse (in any, or in this case, ALL its forms, particularly being in first-person POV of a CHILD) in graphic detail is an issue many of us would rather not read about.
